Job Description
The DME-Home Health Care (HHC) Associate is responsible for assisting in the maintenance of daily and long-term durable medical equipment (DME) department operations, at the direction of the DME-Home Health Care Specialist. The DME-HHC Associate is to provide and ensure a high level of customer service and privacy, directing the customer to the Specialist for services and needs above the HHC Associates capabilities. To ensure that while working, all store colleagues adhere to and implement company policies as well as applicable Federal/State regulations as it relates to Home Health Care.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: List the top four or five primary responsibilities of the position in the space provided below, indicating the most important functions first and the approximate percentage of time spent on each.

1. Provides education to patients/caregivers on the application, use, and care regarding all of our products, as well as to provide product suggestions in conjunction with patient need. 40%
2. Delivers a high-level of customer service-including the ability to effectively direct customers to the Specialist’s availability should the need arise, in a manner that doesn’t disrupt customer experience or satisfaction. 40%
3. Executes on the direction of the Home Health Care Specialist, the company’s merchandising and marketing plans to increase store sales, profits and service levels. 10%
4. Ensures that during their shift all mandated requirements for non-HHC store colleagues as it relates to the Home Health Care program are followed. 10%

Required Qualifications
1. Ability to readily adapt in response to customer needs, to changes in schedules, and work priorities.
2. Confidence to handle conversations sensitive/personal in nature.
3. Ability to take direction but work independently.
4. Capacity to learn and apply the information contained in company manuals, policies and practices.
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
6. Will require heavy lifting, standing, bending, sitting and prolonged walking.
7. Will require computer, register and phone system skill sets.

Preferred Qualifications

Verifiable High School diploma or GED is required.
Other Certificates or Licenses preferred:
o DME Specialist (CDME)
o Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)
