Job Description

The purpose of this job is to oversee all Fleet Maintenance operationsof the company’s Transportation fleet to ensure cost effectiveness, safety, andregulatory compliance.

Responsibilities:

·   Oversee, lead and set priorities for the FleetMaintenance team

·   Select, coach, train, and develop direct reportsto include appraising job performance and conducting performance reviews

·   Oversee fleet maintenance operations to ensurecompliance with procedures and budgeted financial goals

·   Implement and monitor a preventive maintenanceprogram; schedule equipment maintenance aligned with manufacturers’specifications and company specific requirements

·   Ensure the company remains compliant withfederal regulations for testing and inspection of equipment per DOT standards

·   Develop a program for new and replacement tires;maintain a tracking system for purchases and tire casings

·   Analyze financial and business data to identifyopportunities to improve profitability; determine priorities that adhere to thebudget

·   Oversee fleet maintenance warranty process andassist with resolving escalated issues; analyze the company’s warranty programsto ensure receipt of expected value

·   Communicate with field operations team membersto provide support, respond to inquiries, and provide ongoing coaching toensure new programs are implemented

·   Conduct field visits with RegionalTransportation Managers, Lead Drivers, and Drivers to maintain relationshipsand assess Fleet Maintenance team customer service performance; visit new andexisting vendors

·   Collaborate with the Transportation Equipment,Purchasing, Operations, and Fleet Sales teams to make recommendations for truckpurchases based upon data available to ensure lowest total cost of companyownership

·   Conduct research for new initiatives and productsthat will enhance efficiency and lower costs for operating the company fleet

·   Present current status of Fleet Maintenancecosts and initiatives to the company’s senior leadership team at monthlymeetings and more frequently as requested

·   Model behaviors that support the company’scommon purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highestlevel

·   Ensure all activities are in compliance withrules, regulations, policies, and procedures

·   Complete other duties as assigned

Requirements:

·   Bachelor’s degree in business, finance,logistics or related field required

·   Minimum five years’ experience supervisingdirect reports

·   Minimum five years’ experience in transportationmaintenance preferred

·   Minimum five years’ experience as a servicemanager preferred

·   Current CDL with hazmat endorsement preferred

·   Intermediate Microsoft Office skills

·   Experience reviewing and analyzing accountingand profit and loss statements

·   Experience working with Department ofTransportation (DOT) cargo tank regulations and Compliance, Safety andAccountability (CSA) reporting

·   Excellent organizational and follow-up skills

·   Strong attention to detail

·   Excellent written and verbal communication andlistening skills

·   Ability to lead and motivate a team

·   Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamicenvironment

·   Analytical thinking and problem solving skills

·   Ability to present information to variousmanagement levels of the organization
